WHAT IS INCLUDED:

  • Transportation to and from (given that you arrive on time)
  • Thursday dinner upon arrival, 3 meals a day Friday to Sunday, and Monday breakfast before departure.
  • Workshop sessions with Imam Fode Drame
  • Stargazing sessions


WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED:

  • Bedding: sleeping bag and pillow
  • Towels
  • Toiletries


PLEASE BRING (in addition to your personal items):

  • A water bottle
  • A tumbler for tea/coffee

Taking the bus is highly recommended. Please let us know if you will not be taking the bus. If you still choose to drive on your own,  note that your phone reception/GPS may not work the last ten minutes of the trip, so be sure not to turn it off nor to reset your phone 15 to 20 minutes prior to your scheduled arrival in order to maintain your GPS connection.


ROOMING

There is no phone reception. All rooms have bunk beds (frame and mattress only), electrical outlets, and low quality wi-fi. Washrooms are shared, regardless of semi-private rooms or dorm rooms. Participants must bring their own bedding, towels, and toiletries.


Rooming for Everyone

Keep in mind this is a community retreat -- guests will be sharing rooms in our dorm-style accommodations.


Rooming for Seniors or Guests with Disabilities

You are valued! If your room has a bunk bed, we will ensure that you get the lower bunk. Please email us with your lower bunk request as soon as you register.


Rooming for Families with Children*

Families are welcome! While we do not have private family rooms available this retreat, your family may join our gender-segregated dorm rooms (8-9 beds per room); meaning the males in your family would be in men's rooms and the females in the women's room. Rest assured, we have hosted countless families with this system and it still works well!


*Children aged 5 and up are allocated regular-sized beds. Children under the age of 5 are not allocated beds and are expected to sleep in their own travel crib. If you want a full size bed for your child under the age of 5, you will have to pay for a child 0-4 WITH BED.

CHILDCARE AND YOUTH ACTIVITIES

We will not be offering childcare or organized youth activities this retreat but the schedule allows ample time for you to explore nature with your child.
